Breakfast At Your Desk: Steamed Scrambled Eggs!

espresso machine

A little food lesson for you guys: Did you know that you can steam-scramble your eggs? It's a favorite method among foodies, and it can make eggs really light and fluffy--and you need zero butter (no pan to worry about sticking issues!). Here's how it's done...

Chef Jody Williams of the New York City restaurant Gottino makes a famous scrambled egg dish that's ... steamed! How wonderfully unusual is that?!

It's so simple that anyone can do it (anyone who has an espresso machine with a steamer wand, that is). Here's how, according to this helpful post over at FoodMayhem:

1. In a tall porcelain jar (preferably something with a handle), beat together eggs and a sprinkle of salt (note, you can add a little melted butter if you want--but this is totally optional).

Cosmetic Procedures and Liposuction

your surgeon

"The battle of the bulge." That tiny, five-word phrase has been shoved in our faces for years, thanks to television, newspapers, and magazines. But sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, the bulge has a tougher army. The fact is that certain people have fat cells that will not shrink, despite diet and exercise. You can thank heredity for that in some cases.

Liposuction is an option to remove small bulges that won't budge and to improve your body's shape. The areas most commonly treated include the hips, abdomen, thighs and buttocks, and face. Liposuction does not remove cellulite, only fat.

Tips For Reducing Volume Of Thick And Heavy Hair

your hair

People with curly hair want straight hair. People with straight hair yearn for some bounce and curl. People with thin hair wish it was fuller, thicker. And, of-course, those who have an abundance of thick hair, long for lighter, thinner hair. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence it seems.

It's not only desiring what you do not have that causes men and women with thick hair to desire to decrease their tresses. Thicker hair can be quite difficult to manage. Not only is it a lot more likely to tangle, it also carries a lot of weight. The extra weight can make styling an effort, but it may also trigger headaches and other problems. A lot of women complain of hair headaches after wearing ponytails or up-do's as a consequence of the weight of their thick hair.

Breakfast At Your Desk: Slow-Cooker Porridge With Dried Fruit and Spices

I make all kinds of dinner meals in my slow cooker, but it never occurred to me that I could make breakfast that way (what a concept, right!?, until I came across this recipe ...

Don't you just love the word "porridge"? It reminds me of the "Three Little Bears" and other nursery rhymes. Anyhow, so when perusing the Food Network's site recently--getting very hungry while doing so--I came across this fantastic recipe for slow-cooker porridge.

The recipe calls for a combo of rice and oats and dried fruit and spices (including orange peel!). I love the idea of breakfast simmering and ready when I wake up--and a healthy breakfast at that! Lots of fiber, lots of whole grains, lots of blood-sugar-stabilizing spices!
